Mantis Shrimp with EggsThis photo was shot in the Tulamben region of Bali on a night dive. I was really excited to find a shrimp tending to eggs and worked to get a photo clear enough to see the incredible detail of the eyes of both the parent shrimp and the developing eyes inside each egg.

Harlequin ShrimpHarlequin shrimp are usually found with their mate and the use their big claw to feed on starfish (which can regenerate, so it's all good).
Cone Shell (Snail)Look but don't touch -- the cone shell is capable of delivering a venomous sting that can be fatal.
Juvenile ScorpionfishBali is home to such rich macro marine life -- many different species of scorpionfish can be found here.
Rhinopias ScorpionfishThe rhinopias scorpionfish, with it's signature upturned mouth, comes in several variations. It is rare and one of the most sought after species for underwater macro photographers.
Boxer CrabBoxer crabs are awesome -- they get their name from their two white "gloves" held in a position resembling a boxer's stance. This one was tending to a clutch of eggs which was an added bonus.
Bali BeautyWhile the diving in Bali is top-notch, so are the surface intervals.
